Complete Description:
The Senior Oracle DBA - ETL Specialist will work
on the Citywide Data Warehouse (CityDW) team
developing databases that comprise the CityDW
infrastructure environment. This infrastructure
provides the foundation for business
intelligence services and data transparency
initiatives via reports creation, data
integration, and application development. The
resource will initially be part of an effort to
develop a Citywide IT Spend Dashboard, as well
as, making enhancements to the existing CityDW
environment via performance tuning. Their role
will expand, however, to include other CityDW
development projects.
In addition to these responsibilities, the
Senior Oracle DBA - ETL Specialist will also
possess experience in developing ETL processes
using Informatica. These responsibilities will
be secondary in nature, but are still crucial to
have for any successful candidate. ETL
development responsibilities will entail
supporting existing load processes and assisting
the ETL lead with developing and installing new
data sources to the existing Informatica
architecture. The candidate will work closely
with the Data Architect, other DBAs, the ETL
Lead, and data owners to bring new data sources
online.
